Amata Spring Country Club
Amata Spring Country Club
Amata Spring Country Club is an exclusive private club offering the very best facilities that may be enjoyed by all golfers, no matter their handicap. The course is world-class in standard and wil test, tease, penalize and reward every golfer that takes to it's greens, as they are required to play each and every shot with the utmost precision and thought, should they wish to achieve their best score. Championship tees play over a course of 7,450 yards and given the stiff prevailing winds common from late morning onwards, even the most assured golfers will find it a real challenge.

However, other tee boxes are strategically placed on each hole to ensure that a range of golfers may also enjoy and be tested by the course. Whilst power and accuracy are both necessary requirements on longer front nine, finesse and precision are a must on the shorter but hazard-filled back nine, particularly on the par 3 17th hole, which, at 145 yards, boasts the only floating green in Asia.

Crystal Bay Golf Club
Crystal Bay Golf Club
A 27-hole park and course comprising three nines, the layout is somewhat uninteresting, but has been improved by extensive use of palm trees lining the fairways. There are some good dog-leg holes, particularly the third on the "In" course. At this hole it is important to "place" the tee shot to avoid the huge expanse of water on the left and well placed traps on the right; the second shot has to be hit over water and the shot to the green is well guarded by bunkers. The short eighth on the "out" course is an exciting hole, as the tee shot has to be played to an island green. Clubhouse facilities are of a very high standard.

Green Wood Golf Club
Green Wood Golf Club
Designed by the 'old master' Peter Thomson and Dennis Wolverine, this is a thinking man's course. There are many pot bunkers lying in wait to catch the errant shot. Palm-tree-lined fairways tend to be undulating, as do the greens. There is not much water, but the designers have provided masses of sand, reeds and heavy rough, which gives the course a links feel. This course is without doubt one of the best in the Pattaya area.

Signature holes area Course A, Hole 8, Course B, Hole 4 and Course C, Hole 9 Here is a classic dog-leg par four offering a wide fairway as a target,Closing to a bottleneck at the critical range, thus offering the log hitters a temptation to take on the bunkers. The narrow stream crossing before the green adds an extra feature, while the green is bunkered in the classical manner. Small bunkers light against the putting. This should be a popular sporting hole! Clubhouse facilities are very good are available.

Phoenix Golf & Country Club
Phoenix Golf & Country Club
Blessed with a wooded, rolling terrain, this coastal course comprises three nines-"Ocean", "Lake" and "Mountain". The fairways tend to be narrow but the greens are spacious and landscaped with bamboo, eucalyptus and bushes. Water has been used sparingly, except for the middle nine where there is plenty of it. This is exemplified on the very tough par-four 17th, which dog-legs left around a big lake. The second shot here has to be played with extreme accuracy as there is water on the left and right approach to the green.

A massive clubhouse dominates the landscape with a large center reception and pro shop. Locker room facilities are luxurious and the restaurant serving both Thai and European food is quite good and well priced. Good clubhouse facilities, a sports complex and nearness to Pattaya make this course well worth visiting.
